If you were anywhere near the Bernoth Centre last friday the 17th October, you might’ve noticed a crowd (and maybe even caught a hint of something floral in the air). We were so excited to celebrate the launch of YETI’s brand-new Cherry Blossom collection a limited edition colour that captures everything we love about spring in Toowoomba.
To make the day even sweeter, we teamed up with our friends at Abbey’s Cottage Café, just across the road, to create something special. A Cherry Blossom Matcha. An iced matcha with a hint of cherry blossom syrup. Refreshing, floral, and perfectly pink. The perfect match for YETI’s new drop.
The launch was a huge success, with heaps of locals stopping by to check out the new range, grab a free drink, and soak up the atmosphere.
If you missed out on the launch, don’t worry — you can still bring the experience home. Here’s how to make the Cherry Blossom Matcha yourself (bonus points if you serve it in your Cherry Blossom YETI).
Cherry Blossom Matcha
Ingredients:
-
1 tsp matcha powder
-
60ml hot water (just under boiling)
-
1–2 tsp cherry blossom syrup (to taste)
-
Ice cubes
-
200ml cold milk or your favourite milk alternative
Instructions:
-
In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy.
-
Fill your YETI tumbler (Cherry Blossom colour, of course!) with ice.
-
Add the cherry blossom syrup.
-
Pour in the cold milk.
-
Top it off with your whisked matcha for that perfect layered look.
-
Stir, sip, and enjoy your taste of Toowoomba spring.
It was such a great day celebrating with our community, and we’re still feeling the Cherry Blossom glow. The new YETI colour is limited edition. So if you haven’t seen it yet, pop in-store and check it out before it disappears!
